Map name: ONS-Dawn
Size: small: up to (31) 36 (colonizable) planets
suggested players: 2vs2,FFA
artifact spawn rate: 75%
bonus rate: 65%
other: each Player starts with 2 Planets

Description:
Small sized FFA/2vs2 map with few artifact-rich planets. Each players starts with 2 planets. Due to the low availabilty and high value of planets fierce turtle battles can be expected. Pirates are guarding gateways that might help to surprise an enemy or to connect with distant (speaking in relative terms ofc) allies. Map is symmetric with some randomization planet type wise.

created for and tested on SoasE:Diplomacy v1.01

technical instructions

copy map into the diplomacy galaxy folder the path looks something like this:

1. d:\videogames\sins of a solar empire\diplomacy\galaxy

2. check if you can select the map ingame when switching to galaxyforge map selection if not continue with the next step

3. if the map doesn't show up after you copied it into the actual gamefolder (not the one located under users\blahblah) then you must add the map name to the galaxy.manifest located in the diplomacy folder

----> if this is the only custom map you installed then you can use the galaxy.manifest I provided (just replace it)..you can open that file with notepad it is simply a list of maps that will make the game list custom maps along with the regular vanilla maps <---

if you have other (custom) maps installed then open your galaxy.manifest file (notepad) and add this line at the bottom: -> fileName "ONS-Dawn" <-
AND change the filecount value at the very beginning to the subsequent number (e.g. 55 -> 56)

4. save and start the game. You can now select the map when browsing the medium map list

This map will probably work with Entrenchment and the regular SoasE too but I only checked with Diplomacy. The manifest procedure is the same for the other SoasE versions too the only thing that changes are the folder names (e.g. ...olar empire\entrenchment\)
